Shelley attained her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Strathclyde in 2015, before completing the Diploma in Professional Legal Practice in 2016. She commenced her Traineeship with the firm in August 2016. Shelley was previously employed by Thompson and Brown Solicitors as a Legal Secretary throughout the course of her studies from September 2012 until August 2016. This experience of working in the office for the past 4 years has enabled Shelley to accelerate the traineeship requirements.
Shelley has progressed a wide range of case types including Family Law (such as Divorce, Separation, Residence, Contact, Co-Habitation and Financial Provision); Personal Injury; Medical and Clinical Negligence including MRSA cases; Reparation; Professional Negligence, Interdict and Non-Harassment; Power of Arrest; Contempt of Court; Breach of Contract and DVLA Appeals.
She has experience working with and instructing Junior Counsel in complex cases.
Shelley has a particular interest in Interdict and Non-Harassment cases, working closely with Women’s Aid clients across Scotland.
